Do Not Sell My Personal Information

Version 1

Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information Policy

Effective Date: May 17, 2025
Entity: DAS Cricket Academy / Delhi Capitals Cricket Academy NJ
Portal: www.delhicapitalsacademynj.com
Contact: contactus@dascricket.com

1. Our Commitment

DAS Cricket Academy respects the privacy of our players, parents, guardians, coaches, staff, and customers. Because many of our players are minors, including children between the ages of 5 and 15, we treat personal information with heightened care.

We do not sell personal information. We do not knowingly sell or share children’s personal information. We do **not use player information for behavioral advertising or unrelated marketing purposes.

This policy explains how you may exercise your right to opt out of any sale, sharing, targeted advertising, or similar use of personal information, where applicable under U.S. state privacy laws.

2. What “Sell” or “Share” Means

Some U.S. privacy laws define “sale” broadly. It may include exchanging personal information for money or other valuable benefit. Some laws also regulate “sharing” personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, targeted advertising, profiling, or similar purposes.

For example, California privacy law gives consumers the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information and includes special protections for minors under 16. New Jersey’s Data Privacy Law took effect on January 15, 2025 and gives New Jersey consumers privacy rights regarding personal data.

3. Our Current Practice

DAS Cricket Academy does not sell personal information.

We may use personal information only for legitimate academy, portal, operational, safety, billing, enrollment, coaching, tournament, communication, and customer service purposes, such as:

  • player registration and enrollment;

  • parent/guardian account creation;

  • class, camp, lane, event, and tournament registration;

  • attendance, scheduling, coaching, and team management;

  • payment processing;

  • customer support;

  • safety, emergency, and incident management;

  • legal, tax, accounting, security, and compliance purposes;

  • communicating academy updates, schedules, reminders, and program information.

We may share limited information with service providers that help us operate the academy portal, process payments, manage communications, host data, provide technology support, or comply with law. These providers are expected to use the information only to provide services to us and not for their own independent sale or marketing purposes.

4. Children’s Information

Many academy users are children or minors. We collect player information through a parent or guardian account or with parent/guardian involvement.

For children under 13, the federal Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act, known as COPPA, gives parents control over what information websites and online services may collect from children. COPPA applies to operators of websites or online services directed to children under 13, and to operators that have actual knowledge they are collecting personal information online from a child under 13.

We do not knowingly sell or share personal information of children under 13.

We do not knowingly sell or share personal information of minors between 13 and 16 without appropriate consent where required by law.

For New Jersey, regulators have highlighted consent requirements before processing the personal data of children aged 13–17 for targeted advertising, sale, or profiling, and additional protections for children under 13.

5. Opt-Out Rights

Even though we do not sell personal information, you may still submit a request asking us not to sell or share your information, or your child’s information.

Parents and guardians may submit requests on behalf of their child.

You may request that we:

  1. confirm whether we sell or share your personal information;

  2. opt you out of any sale or sharing of personal information;

  3. opt your child out of any sale, sharing, targeted advertising, or profiling;

  4. limit the use of sensitive personal information, where applicable;

  5. update, correct, or delete certain personal information, subject to legal, safety, billing, tax, accounting, dispute, and operational retention requirements.

6. How to Submit a Request

You may submit a “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” request by contacting us at:

Email: contactus@dascricket.com
Mailing Address: 3775 Park Av, Unit 8B, Edison, NJ 08820

Please include:

  • parent/guardian full name;

  • email address used for the portal account;

  • player name;

  • relationship to the player;

  • the specific request, such as “Do not sell or share my information” or “Do not sell or share my child’s information.”

We may need to verify your identity and your authority as the parent or legal guardian before processing requests involving a child’s information.

7. No Discrimination

We will not discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights. This means we will not deny services, charge different prices, or provide a different level of service solely because you submitted a privacy request.

However, some personal information is necessary to provide academy services. For example, we need certain player, parent, emergency contact, medical/safety, payment, attendance, and scheduling information to operate programs safely and properly.

8. Information We Must Retain

A request to opt out of sale or sharing is different from a deletion request.

Even when a deletion request is submitted, we may retain information when necessary for:

  • player safety;

  • emergency contact records;

  • attendance and program history;

  • billing, refunds, chargebacks, and outstanding balances;

  • tax, accounting, and legal compliance;

  • insurance, incident, disciplinary, or dispute records;

  • fraud prevention and portal security;

  • enforcing academy terms and conditions.

If a child is actively enrolled, certain records may need to be retained for safety, operational, legal, and compliance reasons.

9. Authorized Agents

Where applicable law allows, you may use an authorized agent to submit a privacy request on your behalf. We may require written authorization and may also ask you to verify your identity directly with us.

For child-related requests, we may require confirmation that the requester is the child’s parent or legal guardian.

10. Global Privacy Control and Browser Signals

Where required by applicable law, we will make reasonable efforts to honor legally recognized opt-out preference signals, such as Global Privacy Control, if our portal technology supports and detects such signals.

Because academy services often involve parent-managed accounts and child-related records, we may still need to verify account ownership or parent/guardian authority before applying certain requests to player records.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our portal, business practices, legal requirements, or privacy procedures. The updated version will be posted on the academy portal with a revised effective date.
